Ingredients:
500g ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 carrots, finely diced
800g canned crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
400g spaghetti
Fresh basil, for garnish
Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Preparation:
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and carrots, and cook until soft.
Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and add oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1 hour.
Cook spaghetti as per packet instructions.
Serve the Bolognese sauce over spaghetti, topped with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
