Italian Beef Bolognese



This classic Italian Beef Bolognese is a tribute to traditional Italian cooking. Inspired by the rustic flavors of Italy, this dish brings warmth and comfort to any table. Using high-quality beef from The Butchery, it's a simple yet richly flavored meal that's perfect for a family dinner.


Time to Cook: 1 hour 30 minutes Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 500g ground beef

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 carrots, finely diced

  • 800g canned crushed tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 400g spaghetti

  • Fresh basil, for garnish

  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Preparation:

  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and carrots, and cook until soft.

  2. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.

  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and add oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1 hour.

  4. Cook spaghetti as per packet instructions.

  5. Serve the Bolognese sauce over spaghetti, topped with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
